Bird and Dine’s first Asian site: The Bird Watching Café, Hokkaido

Bird and Dine is delighted to announce that with the recent addition of  The Bird Watching Café in Hokkaido, Japan, we now have ninety-five establishments for you to research, visit and enjoy.  Since we reached the milestone of eighty entries at the end of last year, we have added a further fifteen restaurants, cafes, hotels and inns in England, Ireland, Costa Rica, Canada, the USA and Japan, so you can now find places to bird and dine in nineteen countries in five continents.  We are particularly pleased with the addition of the Bird Watching Café as it is a unique place which is all about good food and birding, so a role model for the Bird and Dine idea.  Take a look at this place and find out the story behind it.

Please tell us about any other candidate pubs, cafes, hotels and restaurants that allow you to Bird and Dine. In particular we would like to expand into continental Europe and New Zealand (Antarctica may take a little longer!) Naturally, we would also love to hear about any more candidates for the countries we have already included.

If you want to be really helpful and make it easier for us to process the entry, just complete our form to recommend a ‘bird and dine’ place and have a try at rating it for views, food and wildlife. Otherwise you can always mail us at birdanddine, but please give us as much information as you can – it saves a lot of time, and ensures that we can quickly let the rest of the world know about the place that you have enjoyed.
