Situated at the foot of the Lighthouse on the Ile de Ré
<<Previous Next >>
About the place:
The North of the Ile de Ré is an excellent area for birds – there are salt marshes and salt pans where Black-winged Stilts, Bluethroats and Blue-headed Wagtails breed. The tip of the island, where the lighthouse is situated, is a good spot for sea watching. Kittiwakes nest on the lighthouse. The café and restaurant are very close to the beach as well as the lighthouse and there is a wide range of food available. Many migrant species can be found in the trees and bushes here in autumn.
