In the shady woodlands in Chitose
About the place:
The Bird Watching Café was set up by renowned photographer Tadashi Shimada in 2014. It is a unique concept, being a gallery of nature photography and a cafe where you can watch a wide variety of birds coming to feeders as well as mammals. Five species of woodpecker have visited the garden!
The café is run by Ayuko and Aaron Kemp, and is Bird and Dine’s first Asian (and, of course, first Japanese) entry!
