On the banks of the beautiful River Wye
<<Previous
About the place:
Ye Olde Ferrie Inn is a fifteenth-century family-run riverside inn with accommodation. It is within the Wye valley area of outstanding natural beauty, close to Symond’s Yat and the Forest of Dean. These areas are excellent for birdlife. All three species of woodpecker, Wood Warbler and Pied Flycatcher and Hawfinch are found in the area – though you are unlikely to see them from the pub. However, particularly in the spring, you may spot the local Peregrines, Buzzards or maybe even a Goshawk displaying above the valley. Remember to look up!
